Autumn 2020I’m thrilled and honored to be chosen for Manhattan Arts International’s juried show, “The Spirit of Resilience”. Based in New York City, they believe art has the power to heal, inspire, provoke, challenge and offer hope. The online exhibition presents art by 80 artists from around the world and runs from September 4 ‒ November 4, 2020. I was given an award of excellence and publicity recognition for my painting “Healthy Lungs”. September 2020“Empty Chair(2)- Garden Party” was accepted into the Las Laguna Gallery’s Show “The 2nd Half-Artists Over 50”. I love Laguna Beach and have driven past the gallery many times during my visits to Southern California. This acceptance was really special because of the beautiful place, the wonderful gallery and the caliber of the other accepted artists. Summer 2020I am thrilled to share that one of my personal paintings was accepted into the prestigious Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts Exhibition - Images 2020. My acrylic collage painting Empty Chair(4): Garden Party is from a series of new work that debuted at my recent retrospective. There were 357 entries and only 62 pieces accepted! This was the boost of confidence I needed to continue with this work. Spring 2020The M & M: Art and Spirit retrospective in the Mahady Gallery at Marywood University looks beautiful! I was touched at the opening reception to see so many former students, family and friends. (Thank you Chris Medley for the postcards, John Meza for the gallery direction and nkgphotography.com for the photos!)

I am incredibly honored to be working with these amazing, talented women! We have formed Women Creating CommUNITY Lansdowne! www.womncc19050.org
We celebrate the fresh, powerful, and diverse voices in our community.
We highlight the work by a wide and multigenerational range of talents: the well-established professional, people at the beginning of their careers, young imaginative voices, creative women who don’t label themselves as artists, experienced crafters who create in the privacy of their homes, and more.
The family of magazines WHERE WOMEN CREATE, WHERE WOMEN WORK and WHERE WOMAN COOK won best launch for a new magazine in 2018! I was honored to be included in the winter issue of WHERE WOMEN CREATE. In 2010, my artwork was featured in all four issues of the inaugural year of WHERE WOMEN COOK magazine as part of the “Farm Love” column.
